STICK, MAX

Max Stick is second-year Master's student at Dalhousie University. His Master's thesis examines contemporary perceptions and expressions of masculinity among Canadian male athletes. He is interested in how definitions of manhood contribute to sexism, racism, violence, homophobia, and other destructive social phenomena.

In addition to his Master's research, he is currently co-authoring a paper with Dr. Howard Ramos titled "Communities in Need: Declining Municipal Funding of NGOs."
