Emma Cruddas' research focuses on the mental health of Indigenous peoples living in Canadian urban centres and the impact of cultural continuity.

Currently, Cruddas is conducting analysis of the Aboriginal Peoples' Survey. In particular, self reported mental health responses in relation to markers of cultural continuity such as language and education, elder support, and community/friendship centre access.
