Brittany Barber
PhD Student

Brittany is a PhD in Health student specializing in Spatial Epidemiology, she completed a Masters in Health Promotion at Dalhousie University and much of her work today is informed through perspectives of social and health inequities and social determinants of health. Currently, her doctoral research focuses on understanding community level factors, such as place to explore how vulnerable populations utilize emergency health care services. Brittany's interests include using mixed methodology of geographical information sciences and qualitative case studies to improve systemic barriers within utilization of healthcare services across Nova Scotia.
